Sleep and stress management are often underrated components of well-being. With the demands most of us face, our sleep and recovery can often become an after-thought. Many don't realize that by foregoing "a little sleep", you can often tank your overall efficiency and performance. Ultimately, you think you get more done by sacrificing sleep and intentional stress management practices, but in reality you are minimizing your actual efficiency. Lack of sleep can have lasting effects on your physical and mental health, not to mention increasing your susceptibility to disease and other fatigue-related ailments. Week 2 of each month will be dedicated to discussing strategies and modes of recovery to maximize your efficiency and quality of life.
