The Dominion Country Club’s Tennis Center includes thirteen
multi-terraced courts that are specially lighted and carefully surfaced
for championship-caliber play. An elaborately designed tennis clubhouse
and a complete program of tennis lessons and tournaments planned by Head
Tennis Professional,  Barry
Mills makes The Dominion Tennis program recognized as one of the very
best in the region.
Gently cascading down an oak-covered slope, each of the terraced
tennis courts has been landscaped to enhance the natural surroundings. This
innovative design not only takes advantage of a beautiful natural
environment, but gives Dominion players the feeling they are playing on
their own private court.
A powerful and efficient lighting system delivers a uniform, maximum
foot-candle output which avoids the shadowy light-and-dark effects that
beset so many courts. Lighting for championship play requires at least
an output of 30 foot-candles. The lighting at The Dominion tennis courts
averages 55 foot-candies, delivering a brilliantly lighted court without
any glare and making night time play an enjoyable experience.
Tennis players enjoy a separate tennis clubhouse
which includes locker room facilities for men
and women, a full inventory of equipment and tennis accessories and offices for The Dominion's full time professional tennis staff.
A complete tennis program includes group and private lessons for
members of all ages, including one of the most complete junior tennis
programs in the area.
